The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS) expands the coverage of its livelihood projects in Metro Manila with the implementation of Livelihood Opportunities for Vulnerable Urban Poor Communities (LVUC) project.

LVUC will use the participatory, community-driven and development approach that will empower local communities through improved participation in local governance as well as in the preparation and implementation of poverty reduction projects. It has funding support from Japan Social Development Fund (JSDF).
