Slide1Michelle Favor, a solo parent from Caloocan City, does everything to send her six (6) children in school. She sews sofa covers then sells it in Sangadaan Market. She also does some errands to earn additional income for her family.

As a mother who dreams for a brighter future for her children, Michelle is very grateful when she became a beneficiary of the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program in 2012. She proudly shared that with the help of the program, her children namely Rusty, eldest, 3rd year highschool; Rolly and Robin both in 4th year highschool; Russel, 2nd year highschool; Revo, Grade 2 and Mary Grace, Kinder; are able to continue their education. Three of her children were being monitored by the program.

Michelle considers it a blessing when she received the capital assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region under the Sustainable Livelihood Program.

Meanwhile, the DSWD-NCR released 1,536,500 worth of capital assistance to 14 Self-Employment Assistance – Kaunlaran (SEA-K) associations composed of 210 beneficiaries from Caloocan, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Parañaque, Pasig, San Juan, Valenzuela, Manila, and Quezon City on October 2, 2015.###
