INA Healing Center BBMT

The Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) provided Basic Business Management Training to the clients of the INA (Inang Naulila sa Anak) Healing Center, a community-based facility where grieving mothers are given psychosocial support to help them deal with their grief. It is a place where mothers can ventilate their feelings of loss and depression over the death of a child or children.
DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vincent Andrew T. Leyson said that it is part of the holistic approach to restore the social functioning of the client caused by the untoward circumstances. The training also aimed to improve the economic insufficiency of the clients so they can have more capacity to provide for the welfare of their family.
During the training, Ms. Mary Ann Dalag, Project Development Officer II of Sustainable Livelihood Program, discussed the importance of having an entrepreneurial mind in doing business. She emphasized that the clients should have a dream and a passion to make it a reality. Participants also learned on how to make project proposals and inventory report.
A total of 13 clients participated in the training and undergone livelihood sessions to fully equip them in handling small scale business and micro-enterprises. Subsequently, they will be provided with the capital assistance to start their own businesses.
“Nagpapasalamat kami sa DSWD sa tulong na ibinibigay niyo sa amin upang muli kaming bumangon at magpatuloy sa buhay para sa aming mga pamilya (We thanked DSWD for the help you have provided so we can rise up again and continue to live for our family)” Joanne Abrillo, one of the clients, expressed. ### (Social Marketing Office/ Yvonnie Gutierrez)
