Youth sitting below are the dancers who represent Manila City in the group dance competition and who won as the 1st runner-up. Standing behind them are the staff and official of DSWD-NCR together with the judges of the competitions.

Aside from displaying the products they sell from the capital assistance they received under the DSWD’s Sustainable Livelihood Program, Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries also showcased their talents in singing and dancing during the celebration of PaskuJuan 2016 with the theme: “Tunay na malasakit, tunay na kaunlaran” on December 16, 2016.

Held at the DSWD Field Office NCR grounds, the contestants of the mentioned competitions from the 17 LGUs in Metro Manila gave their best performances to bring home the bacon.

Among the judges are Ms. Shirley Gallibu, Executive Officer II of DENR-NCR, Mr. Nonilo V. Libertad, Jr., CPA, Founder, of CLSM Beacon Coaching and Consulting, Inc. a consulting firm for SMEs and MSMEs and Ms. Maria Jessica T. Lee one of the owners of Asian Touch International Training Institute Inc.

Meanwhile, in his message to the participants, DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vincent Andrew T. Leyson expressed thankfulness that the beneficiaries of the program are valuing the assistance of the Department through their undying commitment to work with the government in uplifting their quality of life.

“We are more inspired to deliver our Maagap at Magpagkalingang serbisyo to all of you because we saw how dedicated your efforts are in working with us to bring positive changes in your life and to eventually leave poverty behind,” Director Leyson said.

At the end of the program, the contestant from Manila City won as the winner in the dance contest who received P5,000 wherein the contestant from Valenzuela and Marikina won as 2nd and 3rd runners-up and received P3,000 and P2,000 respectively. Consolation prize amounting to P1,000 was given to the other remaining contestants per LGU.

On the other side, the contestant from Quezon City won as 1st Prize in the solo singing contest who received P3,000.00 while the contestants from Pasig and Mandaluyong were awarded as 2nd and 3rd runners-up and received P2,000 and P1,000, respectively.

The consolation price for the other contestants was P500.00 each.###
