Manila Department of Social Welfare signifying their readiness for the Listahanan 2 Data.

DSWD NCR through the National Household Targeting Unit (NHTU) started to conduct Preliminary Inspection Visits to different Local Government Units in the National Capital Region to assess if potential end-users of Listahanan 2 Data are compliant with the provisions of Data Privacy Act of 2012 and DSWD Memorandum Circular No. 12 Series of 2012 or the Listahanan Data Sharing.

The NHTU Team also provided information on the need to have a Data Protection Officer through an Executive Order; a dedicated workstation with desktop/laptop computers which are Windows-operated with Anti Virus and PDF Reader; City or Unit Data Privacy Manual guiding the processing, sharing and storage; Accomplished MOA with City Council Resolution and List of authorized End-User/s within the City Government.

Most of the LGUs visited which include Cities of Mandaluyong, Pasig, Paranaque, Caloocan, Manila and Municipality of Pateros signified their interest to access the Listahanan 2 data.

“Obtaining the database of the poor households in our City will allow us to properly identify and select beneficiaries for our Social Protection Programs aside from Pantawid Pamilya Beneficiaries,” expressed by Ms. Francisca T. Delleva, Department Head of Pasig Social Welfare and Development Office.

During the inspection visit in Manila, the importance of the data was recognized for their daily operation specifically on the aspect of assessment of eligible clients to CIU services, Centers and Institutions and monitoring of services provided to clients who are both Manilenos and non-Manilenos.

The visits to LGUs also demonstrated the TARA function of the Field Office as the NHTU Team was able to give technical assistance on the proper processing, sharing and storage of Sensitive Personal Information pursuant to Data Privacy Act of 2012.

The Team led by Mr. Amado Suarez, Regional Field Coordinator of Listahanan continuously commit to provide technical assistance to all the LGUs to ensure compliance with the laws. The Preliminary Inspection Visits will be conducted to all LGUs in the National Capital Region.
