The Department of Social Welfare and Developement – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) signed a Memorandum of Agreement with University of Perpetual Help (UPH) – DALTA, Las Piñas to identify potential beneficiaries, specifically the students or the youth who are in need of scholarship and other programs. The MOA signing took place last March 18, 2019 at the University of Perpetual Help – DALTA, Las Piñas City.

“The UPH is providing a high quality of education to enhance its academic programs. Our students are surrounded by an environment that encourages proficiency in their chosen fileds. We signed this Memorandum of Agreement as we believe it will help us recognize students who are in need of education. To be able to reach out to them, and help them uplift their family’s condition through getting a good education,” Mr. Jose G. Tomayo, President of UPH-Dalta Las Piñas, expressed.

The DSWD-NCR, through the National Household Targeting Unit (NHTU), wholeheartedly gives services to the vulnerable, to ensure that their well-being is raised, through continuous engagement and distribution of the Listahanan 2 database in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.

“We continuously promote the use of Listahanan 2 database with different institutions to help them identify poor households for their social protection programs and services.” Said Mr. Michael Mercado, Regional Information Technology Officer II of NHTU.

Listahanan is an information management system which identifies who and where the poor are in the country. ###
