The Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) in partnership with Technical Skills and Development Authority (TESDA) and Healthcare Institute Inc. recognized the 68 Pantawid Pamilya members who completed their training in Hilot Wellness Massage. The Awarding Ceremony was held at Manila Department of Social Welfare, District 5, Manila City.


The said ceremony commenced with an opening prayer and the singing of the National Anthem which was followed by the Opening Remarks of OIC-Chief of Manila Department of Social Welfare, District 5 – Ms. Consuelo S. Palo, RSW. She encouraged the Pantawid Pamilya members to equip themselves, become more competitive and to emerge as the forefront in providing quality service to the public.

Kim Dale P. Magno, a registered social worker and an Institutional Partnership Development Officer of DSWD – NCR Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program delivered a message stressing the importance of the National Certificate II (NC II) for the members in achieving their aspirations in life especially when applying for jobs related to reflexology industry worldwide.

Also, TESDA Representative Ms. Allysa Taroy gave a message of inspiration for the Program members to strive hard in completing the modules and assessments for the theoretical and practical approaches in reflexology.
Last to give his message, Mr. Marco Polo A. Lustestica, representative from Healthcare Institute Inc. emphasized that completing the training is not enough. Rather, it is the will and the passion to strive for social and economic development that will help them in achieving their goals. Afterwards, awarding of certificates and distribution of wellness kits to the 68 Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries transpired.

Three Pantawid Pamilya members namely; Angelina Alcantara, Guiaria Dimalag, and Remedios Gabayro expressed their gratitude and congratulations to their fellow trainees for completing the said TESDA Skills Training.

Closing remark was given by Mr. Ireshbel Belmonte, Social Welfare Officer III of DSWD-NCR Pantawid Pamilya. He emphasized that skills development and enhancement are significant in coping with the fast-emerging society where technical services are in-demand both locally and abroad.
