The DSWD-NCR Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program conducted a Virtual Orientation on Child Protection Policy in the Workplace for over 700 Program staff last March 19, 2021.

The activity was the second part of the Big Knowledge Sharing Session with the entire Pantawid Pamilya staff following the Virtual Orientation on RA 11310 which was conducted last February 22, 2021. The said activity tackled the CCT Law and its Implementing Rules and Regulations to the Pantawid Pamilya staff.

Further, the recently concluded General Assembly was spearheaded by the Regional Program Management Office through the Regional Program Coordinator Joel D. Cam, in collaboration with the different regional staff wherein salient points of the Pantawid Pamilya Child Protection Policy in the Workplace including other significant regional and operational guidelines on the Program.

The orientation aims to disseminate information about Child Protection Policy in the Workplace to ensure their safety and protection and to be informed on the child protection laws within the scope of abuse, abandonment, exploitation, neglect and discrimination, for them to live in a better and violence-free community.

Further, emphasis was placed on the different roles and responsibilities of the 18 Areas of implementation to the Child Protection Policy in adherence to the Program and its mandate in ensuring the improvement of the level of well-being of every Program members leading to transition towards self sufficiency.

During the virtual orientation, the Regional Program Coordinator Joel D. Cam emphasizes that consciousness in behavior and attitude must be observed in both regional and operations office-based staff in the Program.

To end, the virtual orientation was able to impart to every staff the importance of work commitments to be its service members in congruence to the Child Protection Policy in the Workplace and the DSWD Code of Conduct.
