Twelve (12) residents of Nayon ng Kabataan successfully completed their Practical Driving Course (PDC) on August 30, 2025, in partnership with iRise Driving School at its Robinsons Metro East, Pasig City Branch.
The PDC is a practical training program created to increase student drivers’ understanding of traffic laws and safe driving techniques while providing them with practical road experience. The principles of driving, such as parking, steering, and traffic navigation, were taught to the participants by qualified instructors. BLOWBAGETS (Battery, Lights, Oil, Water, Brakes, Air, Gas, Engine, Tires, and Self) were also covered in their road safety and discipline instruction lectures.
More than just classroom discussions, the program brought the residents onto actual roads, where they applied their lessons in practical driving sessions from Pasig City to Antipolo. Each step, from studying road signs to driving in real traffic conditions, was a milestone toward building confidence and responsibility behind the wheel.
By completing the course, the residents are now better prepared not only to drive but also to contribute to safer and more disciplined roads. For them, this achievement went beyond securing a driving credential; it was about gaining self-confidence and embracing values of patience, awareness, and accountability. Many expressed excitement about driving independently, carrying with them the lessons and discipline they have developed throughout the training.
