With joyful performances and heartfelt testimonies, the Rehabilitation Sheltered Workshop (RSW) celebrated its 57th Founding Anniversary on September 12 at its compound in Project 4, Quezon City. This year’s theme, “Pagsabay sa Inobasyon tungo sa Matatag na Kinabukasan,” reflects RSW’s continued commitment to adapt and innovate in providing opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs) to lead dignified and self-sufficient lives.
Clients of RSW took center stage, showcasing talents honed through training and support they received at the center. The event became a space not only for celebration but also for gratitude, as success stories of former clients that are now thriving in employment or running their own small businesses, were shared. Their journeys served as powerful reminders of what becomes possible when potential is nurtured with compassion and opportunity. More than a facility, RSW is a community built on inclusion and empowerment.
Operated by DSWD-NCR, the center offers temporary employment, skills development, and livelihood training to help differently-abled individuals transition into mainstream work and entrepreneurship. As RSW moves forward, its legacy continues, not just in years, but in the lives it has changed and the futures it helps shape.
