On October 21, 2025, students of Nayon ng Kabataan embraced the spirit of global unity through a culminating program celebrating the United Nations. The event highlighted how nations around the world, as UN members, can come together in peace, understanding, and cooperation.
The celebration was a vibrant showcase of cultural diversity, featuring traditional dances, music, and cuisine from various countries. Students presented informative displays about each nation’s unique contributions, making the event both educational and entertaining.
“It’s so cool to see everyone learning about different cultures,” shared one student. “It makes you realize that even though we’re all different, we’re all part of one big world family.”
The program also emphasized the UN’s mission to promote peace, human rights, and sustainable development. Students joined interactive workshops and discussions on global issues such as climate change, poverty, and inequality. “We want our students to understand that they have a role to play in creating a better future for all,” said Ms. Judy Rodriguez, a teacher at Nayon ng Kabataan. “By learning about the UN and its goals, they can become informed and engaged global citizens.”
The event concluded with a symbolic flag ceremony, where students representing different countries raised their flags in unison, signifying a shared commitment to peace and progress. The Nayon ng Kabataan UN culminating program served as a meaningful reminder of the value of unity, diversity, and global cooperation.
