The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office-NCR (DSWD FO-NCR) and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) met recently to discuss a landmark partnership linking Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) families to the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) program.

While the 4Ps program heavily invests in human capital through health and education, many beneficiaries still lack permanent homes. By offering subsidized vertical housing, house-and-lot packages, and rental options, this initiative aims to provide graduating 4Ps families with secure and affordable shelter.

To ensure accountability, officials emphasized that the program is not a free handout. Beneficiaries must meet strict qualification criteria, including being classified under Level 3 (Self-Sufficient) of the Social Welfare and Development Indicator (SWDI).

Additionally, the household must have at least one working member capable of paying the subsidized monthly installments, and the total monthly household income must not exceed ₱47,855.82 for Metro Manila. Applicants must also be first-time homebuyers and active members of the Pag-IBIG Fund with no history of foreclosed or surrendered loans.

This partnership aims to turn the country’s housing challenges into an opportunity for self-sufficient families to build a better future.

The meeting was led by DHSUD Director III Roel Ugaban (4PH) and 4Ps-NCR Division Chief Leah N. Bautista, alongside staff from the Regional Program Management Office.
