MUNTINLUPA CITY – The DSWD Field Office-NCR South Cluster Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) launched their 2026 Sports Festival today, June 8. The week-long event brings together staff for sports, teamwork, and camaraderie.
Participating centers include Elsie Gaches Village (EGV), Haven for Children (HFC), Haven for Women (HFW), Marillac Hills–National Training School for Girls (MH-NTSG), and the Regional Rehabilitation Center for Youth (RRCY). The festival runs until June 15, 2026.
Ms. Farrah Cabrera, SWO V and EGV Center Head, opened the program by welcoming attendees to this second annual festival. She encouraged everyone to enjoy the activities and strengthen their bonds with fellow employees.
Ms. Rosalia Ramos, Social Welfare Assistant from Marillac Hills, then led the Oath of Sportsmanship, reminding everyone to compete with fairness, respect, and integrity. Afterward, center heads lit the ceremonial torch to symbolize unity.
Opening highlights included the Presentation of Muses and Escorts, where center representatives showcased sports-inspired outfits, followed by an energetic cheerdance competition.
Judges for the events were Ms. Jhonabie M. Villamor (SWO III from RCC), Mr. Allan Balaba (SWEAP President), and Ms. Psalm Ignacio (Human Resource Welfare Section).
The festival will conclude on June 15 with an Awarding Ceremony to celebrate the participants’ achievements and sportsmanship. Through events like this, DSWD NCR continues to promote wellness, teamwork, and stronger connections among its personnel.
