In line with the celebration of CHR’s 34th anniversary, the Commission on Human Rights – NCR and the DSWD-NCR commends and congratulates Jail Inspector Jose Marie D. Saberiano, Warden of San Juan City Jail Male Dormitory and recipient of the 2021 Gawad Bantay Karapatan Award. Under his Leadership, the programs and services benefitting persons deprived of Liberty in the San Juan City Jail has been steadfastly implemented.

The Departments also recognizes the exemplary services of Jail Superintendent Maria Lourdes Pacion, Warden of Quezon City Jail Female Dormitory, and the secretariat and member agencies of the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee – NCR, for their efforts in ensuring that the rights of women and children deprived of liberty are respected and fulfilled.
