On September 30, 2020, the DSWD NCR’s Golden Reception and Action Center for the Elderly and other Special Cases (GRACES) celebrated its 8th year Founding Anniversary and Family Day 2020 with the theme, “Growing Stronger, Growing Deeper and Reaching Higher”.
The celebration was a lot different from the previous anniversaries. To ensure the safety of the staff and most especially of the residents, this year’s celebration is more solemn and private.
The activity started with the virtual mass attended by the residents and center staff. Games, raffles and dance numbers of house parents and selected clients were also presented. Packed foods were distributed and served.
Ms. Virginia C. Daniles, Social Welfare Officer IV and Officer In Charge of GRACES, formally closed the program by giving a heartfelt message. She recognized and acknowledged the commitment, continuous hardwork and selfless love of all the staff, to ensure that safe and quality service were always provided to all the residents, especially in this time of pandemic.
GRACES is a residential care facility that provides care to abandoned, neglected, unattached, and homeless Filipino Senior Citizens who are 60 years old and above. ###
