The Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) inducted recently the new set of Regional Area-Based Network (ABSNET) Federation Officers with a term of three (3) years.

Ms. Virgie Daniles, OIC of DSWD-NCR Standards Unit said ABSNET has been proven an effective strategy for a participative and collective endeavour among Social Welfare and Development Agencies (SWDAs) and Local Government Units (LGUs) along capability building, technical assistance and resource augmentation.
“We acknowledge the important roles of ABSNET in promoting registration, licensing and accreditation of SWDAs through its involvement in the initial assessment. It is the Regional ABSNET Federation that will assist the DSWD in enforcing its regulatory functions,” Ms. Daniles concluded.###
