The Department of Social Welfare and Development-National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) extended some P744,000.00 capital assistance to 120 beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program from Pasig City, during the 9th Convergence Caravan held recently at Pasig City Sports Complex.
The amount was extended to the 120 recipients who are members of the eight (8) Self-Employment Assistance-Kaunlaran (SEA-K) associations organized by DSWD-NCR in coordination with the city government of Pasig.
Each member received a capital assistance ranging from Php5,000 to Php15,000 which they will use to augment their existing business. The capital assistance would also help the beneficiaries attain the level of self-sufficiency especially in their transition from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
