As part of the recent regional celebration of the DSWD 63rd Founding Anniversary, the Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) honored 52 employees through Loyalty Award to staff who have rendered ten (10), 15, 20, 25 and 35 years in service.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It also paid tribute to eight (8) retirees for their contribution in the delivery of social protection programs and services.

In her response, Ms. Ma. Morita P. Herrera, Houseparent III of Sanctuary Center, who has been in the service for 35 years, said that she is very grateful for the opportunity that she was able to help other people in need, especially children.

“Hindi ko alam na aabot ako nang ganito katagal. Masaya ako sa trabaho ko at napakasarap sa pakiramdam kapag alam mong nakakatulong sa iba (I didn’t expect that I will stay this long. I’m happy with my job and it feels great knowing that I was able to help others),” she enthused.

Moreover, a ground breaking ceremony was held for the construction of three-storey Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program building.

DSWD-NCR Regional Director Ma. Alicia S. Bonoan encouraged everyone to continue providing “matapat, mahusay at magiliw na paglilingkod.”###(FO-NCR Social Marketing Office, January 30, 2014)
