President Benigno S. Aquino III lauds the dedication of people behind the success of the Elsie Gaches Village during its 50th Anniversary celebration in Muntinlupa City on February 7, 2014, which carries the theme, “50 years of expertise in serving God’s special children.”
“Ipinaaabot ko ang isang espesyal na pasasalamat sa bawat indibidwal at grupong naging bahagi na ng mayamang kasaysayan ng center. Wala kayong pinipiling araw o pagkakataon sa pagseserbisyo (I thank everyone who has been a part of the rich history of the center. You are always ready to serve anytime),” Pres. Aquino said.
Unveiling of the Golden Wall of Friendship
Meanwhile, DSWD Secretary Corazon Juliano- Soliman led the unveiling ceremony of the Golden Wall of Friendship wherein all the names of the benefactors, donors and volunteers of Elsie Gaches Village are inscribed.
Soliman expressed her gratitude to everyone who are continuously supporting Elsie Gaches Village in the delivery of social protection programs and services to its clients.
Elsie Gaches Village is a residential care facility that provides care and rehabilitation services to mentally challenged individuals such as those with cerebral palsy, epilepsy, visual and hearing impairment, mental retardation, autism and other related conditions. ### (FO- NCR, Social Marketing Office, February 12, 2014)
