In its effort to support the Supplementary Feeding program, Julie’s bakeshop put up a booth in the Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region.
A fraction of the company’s earnings from their bayan sliced bread will be donated to the said program which aims to eradicate malnutrition among the children, especially the preschoolers.
“Nakakatuwa kasi sa simpleng pagbili ko ng pagkain tulad nito ay nakakatulong din pala ako sa mga nangangailagan lalo na sa mga benepisyaryo ng ating programa (I’m happy because with a purchase of product like this, I am also helping other people, especially the beneficiaries of our program),” Emelyn M. Marco, FO-NCR staff, expressed.
Meanwhile, there are 564 day care centers this year that are starting feeding program and serving 49,804 day care children from cities of Las Pinas, Malabon, Muntinlupa, Pasay, Pasig, San Juan, Valenzuela and Pateros.###
