The Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) enters partnership with new six (6) civil society organizations (CSOs) for the implementation of Pantawid Pamilya program or the Philippines’ Conditional Cash Transfer program.
Through the signing of Memorandum of Agreement in Manila yesterday, the Department has officially started its partnership with Couples for Christ Educational Foundations, TESDA and Coca-Cola Star Program, Young Builders Gen-PH, Couples for Christ Global Mission Foundation, Children International and Fast Assessment Skills Training and Development Center for the provision of complementary services for the beneficiaries of Pantawid Pamilya program.
DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vincent Andrew T. Leyson expressed his warmest gratitude to the new partner CSOs of the Department for bringing such interest in helping the poorest of the poor families in Metro Manila.
“These partnerships will serve as an opportunity for the Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries to maximize not only the government’s programs but the services being provided by the CSOs as well… this will better enhance their capabilities to uplift their well-being which will eventually alleviate or even break their cycle of poverty,” Director Leyson emphasized.
As of May 25, 2016 there are 230, 267 Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries in Metro Manila who are benefiting from the program through their compliance in the health and education condionalities of CCT.###
