Thirty (30) selected clients gallanty participated in the event as they recalled their knowledge in Philippine History, shared their insights on Independence Day-related topics, and they showed their creativity in freestyle painting.
The celebration did not only focus on fluttering the Philippine flag but also in commemorating the 121st Anniversary of Philippine Independence. Discussions among clients on the Philippine Flag for awareness and review on significant events in history pertaining to the Proclamation of Philippine Independence were conducted. It was also a suitable time to educate clientele of the Center about patriotism, nationalism, and self-sacrifice that our forefathers contributed to gain our independence. Mr. Eric Franco C. Esmas, Officer-In-Charge, briefed the participants on the significance of the event. His message aims to help participants become self-sufficient individuals and eventually be able to stand on their own and become productive citizens.
The highlight of the event was the awarding of the most creative and patriotic paintings of seven (7) manageable clients.
