The Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) established partnership with the National Teachers College (NTC) through signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for the selection of students and youth who are in need of scholarships and other programs for the financially disadvantaged. Held on July 2, 2019 at The National Teachers College, Legarda, Manila, this activity is participated in by Mr. Alfredo Ayala, NTC President and Ms. Manuela Loza, Data Protection Officer of DSWD-NCR.
The NTC aims to provide their students a high degree of competence in their chosen career and their quest for knowledge, training, and professional endeavor. Mr. Alfredo Ayala, President of NTC, expressed that Listahanan 2 database is a big help for the college as this will make it easier for them to identify the students who are in need of financial help. He also added that he is very thankful to the Department for trusting NTC by giving them access to Listahanan database.
“On behalf of our Regional Director, we are glad to support the NTC on their mission to help students reach their goals and give hope to those who can barely afford tertiary education,” said Ms. Manuela M. Loza, Data Protection Officer of DSWD-NCR.
Listahanan is an information management system which identifies who and where the poor are in the country. ###
