On September 27, 2019, the Department of Social Welfare – National Capital Region’s Minors Travelling Abroad Section conducted an Inter-Agency Consultation Dialogue/Advocacy Forum on the Guidelines for Minors Traveling Abroad at Best Western La Corona Hotel, Ermita, Manila.
The Inter-Agency Consultation Dialogue served as a venue to address the issues and concerns related to the implementation of the Administrative Order No. 12, Series of 2017, otherwise known as the Omnibus Guidelines for Minors Travelling Abroad. This activity aims to help the Department along with concerned agencies in improving the delivery of quality programs and services of Minors Travelling Abroad in accordance with the said guidelines.
A travel clearance for minors travelling abroad is a document being issued by DSWD Field Offices for persons below 18 years old travelling abroad unaccompanied or by any person other than his/her parents, pursuant to the provision of RA 7610 or the Special Protection of Children against abuse, trafficking, exploitation and discrimination. ###
