This time of the year, the DSWD NCR through the Social Marketing Office regularly conducts the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Study to evaluate the awareness of the general public on the programs and services of the Department.
But this year is different. As the pandemic strikes the country, the online platform is maximized as medium to carry out the activities of the Department. On November 18 and 19, 2020, the Social Marketing Office through its Information Officers conducted the Knowledge, Attitude and Practice Study via phone interview.
A total of eighty- nine respondents, both beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of the programs and services of the Department were interviewed. The respondents were requested first to recall programs and services of the Department that they are well-aware. They provided brief description of each program. On the succeeding part of the interview, the Information Officers enumerated the programs not mentioned by the respondents and asked if they have heard or at least familiar with said programs.
Majority of the programs asked to the respondents include; Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, Sustainable Livelihood Program, Social Pension Program, Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations, Unconditional Cash Transfer, Disaster Response Programs and among others.
The respondents are reminded that the data gathered will be used and processed by the DSWD alone pursuant to the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Amid the threat of COVID-19, the KAP Research Study was concluded by the Field Office NCR successfully. The data gathered will be forwarded to the DSWD Central Office – Social Marketing Service for analysis which will be of great help to look for ways to improve and enhance the Department’s Communication Strategies.
KAP Study is being conducted yearly which started on 2017, by the Social Marketing Offices of the Field Offices in partnership with the Social Marketing Service of DSWD Central Office. ###
