The Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) in partnership with Unilab Foundation conducted the Family Well-Being Summit last February 12-13, 2021 with the theme “Pagsulong ng Pamilyang Pilipino sa Panahon ng Pagbabago”.

The forum aimed to steer a multi-disciplinary discussion of family well-being as the core component in ensuring healthier mental and psychosocial health in order to build a stronger Filipino families.

The region was among the chosen ones to participate in the said virtual forum. Among Pantawid Pamilya beneficiaries, Nerisa Gallo, a Pantawid Pamilya beneficiary from Brgy. 649, Port Area, Manila participated in the first day of the summit.
The session focused on raising awareness about family well-being including discussion on family relation and mental health issues.

On the second day of the virtual forum, Mary Grace Rasonabe from Santolan, Pasig attended the session that centered on the discussion of struggles of a family with a member who is an OFW and how the family copes with the challenges and develop family resiliency.

The forum concluded with the closing remarks of Dr. Sheila Marie Hocson – Program Director Heads Up PH. Unilab Foundation Inc. emphasized the family resiliency must remain to overcome trials and tribulations that come along the way.
