Through a webinar, the Department of Social Welfare and Development- National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) recently convened its 17 partner – LGUs for the Orientation on Mandanas Ruling and Devolution. The virtual orientation was participated in by the 17 LGUs of NCR in which they can fully understand the impending devolution of some DSWD programs and services.
The said orientation was initiated by the Policy Development and Planning Section and Capability Building Section of DSWD NCR in relation to the upcoming implementation of Mandanas Ruling by 2022. The meeting and online orientation was participated in by OIC- Assistant Regional Directors for Administration Manuela M. Loza, OIC- Assistant Regional Director for Operations Edna J. Sacedor, Capability Building Section Head, Ms. Trisha Mae F. Pecson, 17 LGU coordinators and the staff from the Policy Development and Planning Section.
The orientation serve as one of the initiatives of the Field Office to all LGUs in order to introduce the Mandanas Ruling and discuss the impact of devolution to certain social welfare services particularly on the fiscal resources, organizational structure and program, implementation of the LGUs.
The following topics were discussed by the PDPS and CBS team that include Mandanas Ruling, Presentation of TARA Guidelines, and Guide on Service Delivery Assessment (SDA) Tool, LSWDO Mapping Tool, Result of Competency Need Assessment (CNA), Training Menu of DSWD-NCR, and Learning Development Plan for CY 2021.
The output of the activity was the improved Regional Technical Assistance and Resource Augmentation of the DSWD-NCR for the year 2021- 2022. ###
