On March 12, 2021, children and staff of Nayon ng Kabataan (NK) participated in the observance of Fire Prevention Month. The activity started with a Film Showing which was conducted at NK’s covered court to impart knowledge and raise awareness on fire prevention and important things to do during the fire situation.
Ms. Remy Bautista, Houseparent II, gave a summary of the topic discussed as well as processed the learning on the film showed to the participants. Answers are also provided to those queries raised upon watching the film.
“It is very important to join this Fire Prevention Activity considering that NK is located in a fire-prone area,” Bautista emphasized.
“We have to be more careful and vigilant on everything associated with fire because fire is merciless. It takes away everything that blocks on its way, including people’s lives, so we have to protect ourselves and our family. With the help of fire prevention activity, we have the knowledge and skills to prevent fire incidents.” Bautista said.
She reminded all the participants that Fire incident is very dangerous, but with the right knowledge on how to prevent and what to do during the fire incident, will help to keep us safe.
On the other hand, DSWD Field Office NCR posted an audio and visual presentation (AVP) on fire prevention tips on their Facebook page to support the country’s campaign on Fire Prevention Month see here; https://fb.watch/4w_DX6cDRT/
