TODAY: The DSWD Field Office National Capital Region is currently conducting a meeting with the Local Government Unit of Valenzuela to lobby and strengthen the partnership and convergent efforts of both institutions in line with the implementation of the Yakap-Bayan Program in the said locality held at Valenzuela Anti-Drug Agency Council Office, Valenzuela City.
The said meeting is attended by the following: Ms. Marlene C. Guzman, Social Welfare Officer III, Ms. Jane Lucille and Ms. Lorie Ann S. Bobis, Project Development Officers II of DSWD FO NCR Social Technology Unit (STU); Mr. Danilo D. Padrinao, Officer-in-Charge and Ms. Jessicamae Mercado, Psychometrician of Valenzuela Anti-Drug Agency Office; and Ms. Hannah Rose B. Francisco, Mr. Eldrene H. Cabug, and Mr. Louie T. Devero, Social Welfare Officers of Valenzuela City Social Welfare Development Office.
The Yakap Bayan Program is a holistic intervention of the government to assist Recovering Persons Who Use Drugs (RPWUDs) in their recovery journey and to facilitate their social reintegration. The said Program will be implemented by the LGU Anti-Drug Agency Councils through a multi-disciplinary team with dedicated social workers who will serve as case managers for the said PWUDs. ###
