DSWD NCR conducts a Policy Forum on proposed House Bills 6962, House Bill 9413 which seeks the reorganization of the National Council on Disability Affairs into the National Commission on Disability Affairs, and House Bill 6317 on which the Commission shall mandate to lead all efforts particularly in the rights-based society for PWDs at Swiss-Belhotel Blulane, Tomas Mapua St., Sta. Cruz, Manila City.

It was participated by different Persons with Disabilities Organizations and Federations, Local Government Unit Representatives, Regional Council on Disability Affairs, and Social Welfare and Development Agencies.

The activity also acts as a forum for partner stakeholders to discuss Social Welfare and Development (SWD) issues and policies in order to establish tangible policy suggestions and plans of action to lobby for the passage of the proposed legislative measures into law.

The forum also lobbies to Advocate and gather support from the stakeholders to come up with the policy recommendation and signature campaign in support of the said bills for the Persons with Disabilities.
