The month-long celebration of National Women’s Month continues for the residents of Haven National Center for Women as they join the therapeutic water activities arranged by the HFW staff at Sea Breeze Resort, Taguig City on March 20, 2024.

The fun-filled water exercises kicked off with a short program to discuss house rules to keep everyone safe and to enjoy the rest of the day. Meanwhile, Ms. Catherine Taleño, OIC of Haven for Women expressed her cordial greetings to the participants. She stressed that part of their journey towards recovery and healing is to participate in recreational activities that aim to alleviate stress and allow them to build camaraderie with their co-residents. This may also give them a chance to find their strengths that will eventually help them achieve their future goals.

Furthermore, the residents were divided into three groups consisting of 10 members for the teambuilding activities such as Puzzle Hunt, Scoop and Fill, Coin Hunting, and Aqua Train. These activities work towards testing their teamwork and bringing out their leadership quality.

Moreover, the event was made possible through the Insular Foundation which assisted and sponsored the curative swimming for the residents.

Organizing these types of events gives continuous instillation of women’s empowerment for HFW residents, this also proves support and care for their mental well-being while they are in the process of healing.
