The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) National Capital Region (NCR) conducted a Local Government Unit (LGU) Links consultation meeting on April 25, 2024.
This meeting aimed to strengthen the implementation of the 4Ps in Metro Manila, aligning with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Joint Memorandum Circular No. 2022-001 series of 2022 “Guidelines in Support of the Implementation of 4Ps”
The Joint Memorandum Circular issued guidelines for the support and implementation of the 4Ps, urging LGUs in Metro Manila to bolster their social protection ordinances.
This effort is crucial in complementing the 4Ps program and ensuring its effectiveness in providing assistance to the most vulnerable and marginalized leading to improved well-being.
During the consultation meeting, representatives from various LGUs in NCR discussed strategies to enhance coordination and collaboration between the 4Ps program and local government initiatives.
The meeting also served as a platform to address challenges and explore opportunities for improving the delivery of social services to beneficiaries.
With the support and commitment of LGUs, the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program aims to reinforce its impact on poverty reduction and social development in Metro Manila.
The collaborative efforts between the DSWD, DILG, and LGUs signify a unified approach toward uplifting the lives of Filipino families in need.
