MANILA: Recognizing the critical importance of participatory monitoring and evaluation systems, the Regional Independent Monitoring Committee (RIMC) of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in National Capital Region (4Ps NCR) recently convened for its 1st Semester Consultation Meeting in Quezon City.
The objective of the activity was to ensure the effectiveness of the program’s implementation processes, monitor the inter-agency implementation at all levels, review and assess the well-being of the beneficiaries, and solicit the participation of the private sector to collaborate with the government in the implementation of the program.
During the meeting, the RIMC discussed several important topics. Including the discussion of the 4Ps thrust and priorities for Fiscal Year 2024 which identify the gaps and concerns to implement key areas of focus and setting goals for the program’s initiatives. Secondly, the committee explored opportunities to engage with other Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and private sector partners in Metro Manila to enhance the implementation of 4Ps in the National Capital Region (NCR).
By leveraging the expertise and resources of the RIMC members, the program assures to achieve greater impact and sustainability among the beneficiaries in Metro Manila.
Furthermore, the RIMC also emphasized the competency and readiness of its program implementers such as the City Link/Case Managers in terms of Case Management.
This involves providing training to ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting beneficial in addressing program challenges resulting to informed decisions to improve beneficiaries’ level of well-being.
Lastly, the RIMC meeting identified the field visits that will be conducted throughout Barangays in Metro Manila this year.
The 1st Semester Consultation Meeting of the RIMC in Quezon City proved to be a crucial platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning. With a focus on participatory monitoring and evaluation, the committee is dedicated to ensuring the effectiveness and impact of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in the National Capital Region.
