In a bid to empower Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) NCR beneficiaries, the Department of Trade and Industry – National Capital Region (DTI NCR) through 4Ps NCR organized two informational seminars focusing on entrepreneurial skills development and food safety awareness.
The 4Ps beneficiaries attended the “Entrepreneurial Mind Setting Cum How to Start and Registered a Business” seminar on September 11, 2024, and the “Food Safety Awareness Seminar” on September 18, 2024.
The first seminar, held on September 11 in Barangay Marcelo Green, Paranaque City, attended by 25 beneficiaries aimed to equip participants with an entrepreneurial mindset and provide essential knowledge on how to kickstart and formalize their own business.
The resource person, DTI Representative Ms. April Lyn Dela Peña, emphasized the importance of developing a business mindset and stressed that an entrepreneurial attitude is crucial to succeed in the business industry.
Furthermore, the beneficiaries learned about the key areas to prepare when starting a business and were guided in selecting the appropriate form of business for their ventures. Through interactive sessions, the participants gained valuable insights into the entrepreneurial landscape.
Subsequently, on September 18, the focus of the discussion was a food safety awareness seminar conducted in Brgy Tanza 2, Navotas City.
Attended by the 25 4Ps beneficiaries in Navotas City, the activity aimed to educate the attendees on the significance of food hygiene and the basics of food safety.
DTI-NCR Representative Ms. Sylvia Ron and DOST-NCR Representative Ms. Ivy Buenlabrada shared their expertise during the session, providing crucial information on handling food safely and concerns that may arise if the food was contaminated during its preparation.
The 4Ps NCR supports the commitment of National Government Agencies to empowering underprivileged and marginalized communities through informative seminars and workshops, fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, and promoting livelihood awareness to improve their level of well-being.
