CRCF heads Receives First Aid and Trauma Kits during Disaster Preparedness Campaign
Three (3) Center and Residential Care Facility (CRCF) under the DSWD Field Office – National Capital Region (FO – NCR) received a first aid and trauma kits from Odyssey Foundation, Incorporated (OFI) during the launched of Gabay Karunungan: Generation Ready, a Disaster Preparedness Campaign on March 19, 2025.
OFI and its partnership with Philippine Red Cross (PRC) Valenzuela City Chapter launched the disaster preparedness campaign held at ALERT Compound, Malinta, Valenzuela City. The event was attended by the center head of Jose Fabella Center (JFC) headed by Ms. Glenda Derla, Marillac Hills – National Training School for Girls (MH-NTSG) headed by Ms. Herminia Archangel, and Nayon ng Kabataan (NK) center head Ms. Helen M. Pereyra and among students from selected schools in the region.
As part of the campaign, the Philippine Red Cross conducted an informative lecture on how to prepare for emergencies, especially natural disasters like earthquakes. In addition, participants were provided with Medical First Aid Kits, which are essential for managing trauma in the aftermath of calamities. Specialized training sessions were also offered to enhance participants’ skills in disaster response and first aid.
The heads of the CRCFs expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the generous donation of medical supplies and the valuable training opportunities provided to their staff. The event reinforced the importance of disaster preparedness and response, ensuring that these centers are well-equipped to handle emergencies.
