The DSWD Field Office – National Capital Region (FO-NCR), through the Technical/Advisory Assistance and Other Related Support Services (TAAORSS), conducted a first-quarter consultation dialogue with City/Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices at the Sanctuary Center in Mandaluyong City today, March 25, 2025.

 

DSWD FO-NCR Assistant Regional Director for Operations, Bienvenido Jr. V. Barbosa, welcomed the participants and expressed his heartfelt gratitude for their active participation and for the LGUs’ support in the implementation of the Agency’s programs and services for vulnerable sectors.

 

 

The Field Office organized the assembly to inform the LGUs about newly implemented programs and services of the Department. One of the topics discussed was i-Registro, a new digital platform for updating the records of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries.

 

In addition to the 4Ps and other programs, the Department introduced the Bahay Silungan Community Center, one of the 14 Center/Residential Care Facilities (CRCF), managed by FO – NCR.

 

Bahay Silungan provides programs and services to fulfill its mandate of assisting individuals, groups, and families who are displaced and unable to cope with difficult life circumstances.

The C/MSWDOs and DSWD continue to work together as partners in implementing social welfare programs and services at the local level.

 

As the meeting concluded, the various Local SWDOs and the Department pledged to continue their partnership and coordination in implementing programs and services for the vulnerable, disadvantaged, poor, and marginalized sectors.
