In celebration of Women’s Month, Haven for Women brought to life the essence of empowerment and resilience through “Tugsayawit”, a powerful showcase of music, dance and song (Tugtog, Sayaw, and Awit). Held on March 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the facility’s Social Hall, the event featured three cottages presenting meaningful performances that reflected this year’s theme: “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor: Aangat ang Bukas sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
The event was more than just a talent showcase, it was a celebration of women’s strength, perseverance, and unity. Each performance told a story of struggle and triumph, capturing the challenges women face across different sectors and their unwavering determination to rise above them. The residents poured their hearts into their performances, using song and dance as a medium to express empowerment, resilience, and hope for a brighter future.
Adding prestige to the event, judges from various centers in the South Cluster were invited to witness and evaluate the performances. However, the true purpose of Tugsayawit went beyond competition, it was about understanding what it means to be a strong and empowered woman.
The beauty of this event lies not in perfect execution but in how each participant embraced the essence of being a woman bold, resilient, and full of potential. The celebration brought together residents and staff, fostering a sense of solidarity and shared purpose. As the event concluded, the atmosphere was filled with inspiration and pride, reaffirming that women, in every sector of society, have the power to shape a stronger, more inclusive future.
Through Tugsayawit, Haven for Women once again demonstrated its commitment to uplifting and empowering women, proving that Women’s Month is not just about celebration—it is a movement towards a future where every woman thrives.
