The Jose Fabella Memorial School (JFMS) successfully held its 2025 Graduation, Moving Up, and Recognition Rites this April, celebrating the academic milestones of hundreds of clients and residents from the Centers and Residential Care Facilities (CRCFs) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Field Office National Capital Region (DSWD FO-NCR), as School Year 2024–2025 comes to a close.
In Nayon ng Kabataan (NK), three (3) learners completed kindergarten and participated in their Moving Up Ceremony. Meanwhile, 21 Grade 6 pupils graduated from elementary: six (6) from Marillac Hills – National Training School for Girls (MH-NTSG), five (5) from Haven for Children (HFC), and ten (10) from NK.
At Marillac Hills, 13 residents proudly graduated from Junior High School, while 17 completed their Senior High School journey – marking a significant step toward their future aspirations.In addition, more than 100 students of HFC from elementary to junior high levels were honored in recognition ceremonies for their academic efforts and perseverance throughout the school year.
The Department and school officials were present to celebrate the achievements of the learners, with this year’s theme: “Henerasyon ng Pagkakaisa: Kaagapay sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
This annual event serves as a testament to the transformative power of education and the DSWD’s continued commitment to empowering every learner under its care.
