A delegation from the Republic of Korea and the World Health Organization (WHO), together with the Department of Health (DOH) visited the Sanctuary Center in Mandaluyong City yesterday, (July 10) to gain deeper insights into the Philippines’ strategies for mental health promotion.

The Sanctuary Center welcomed the delegation as they observed the facility’s operations and best practices in advocating mental health and facilitating effective communication with local government units, particularly in the context of family reintegration.

The visit is part of their broader initiative to explore potential areas of cooperation between the Republic of Korea and WHO in the field of suicide prevention, and to identify opportunities for collaboration on the Philippines current strategies and approaches to suicide prevention.
