San Beda College Alabang officially launched its outreach initiative, “Sama-samang Inisyatibo para sa Bagong Pag-asa, Oportunidad at Liwanag” (SIBOL), at Nayon ng Kabataan (NK) on July 6, 2025. The program aims to uplift and empower youth through educational, creative, and livelihood opportunities.
The SIBOL project is a collaborative effort led by the college’s faculty, members of the Parent-Teacher Association, and student volunteers. It provides free extracurricular activities and classes to residents, along with donations of educational materials such as chairs, tables, and books.
During the launch, NK residents were grouped and engaged in various learning sessions and clinics. Some participated in sports clinics including basketball, volleyball, badminton, and chess. Others explored their creative interests through performing arts workshops such as theater and music.
In addition to educational and recreational activities, a livelihood training session on liquid dishwashing soap production was conducted to promote sustainable income-generating skills.The event concluded with the distribution of gift packs to the residents and the donation of desktop computer sets to the NK center, further supporting the community’s educational needs.
The SIBOL project reflects San Beda College Alabang’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and community development, bringing hope, opportunity, and light to the youth of Nayon ng Kabataan.
