In an effort to foster a deeper engagement and understanding of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), the 4Ps National Capital Region (NCR) recently supported a series of media field visits on Wednesday (May 8) across various locations in Metro Manila.

Organized by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through 4Ps National Program Management Office, the event was participated by media representatives joining beneficiaries of the program in Tondo, Manila; briefed on the CRS complementary services provided to the 4Ps grantees, and; educated about the good practices of the local government of Taguig City in implementing to support the RA 11310 also known as Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Act of 2019.

Participating media outlets, including GMA News Online, TV5, UNTV, Pilipino Star Ngayon, The Daily Tribune, DWIZ-AM Radio Station, DZRH, and DZXL, had the opportunity to witness Family Development Sessions (FDS) with 4Ps beneficiaries.

State-run information agencies like the Philippine News Agency, Philippine Information Agency, Radyo Pilipinas, and People’s Television Network also actively participated in the field visits. The overarching goal of the media tour was to equip participants with a comprehensive understanding of the 4Ps, enabling them to effectively communicate accurate and balanced messaging in their reporting.
