In celebration of Nutrition Month 2019 with the theme, “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo… Push natin to!,” Marillac Hills and Jose Fabella Memorial School officially opened the program with kick-off activities last July 1, 2019.
Part of the activities was the parade of the handcrafted banners of selected residents. Moreover, the Dietary Service prepared fun-filled activities such as Slogan and Poster- Making Contest, Nutri-Quiz Bee, Aero- Dance Competition, NutriHat-making contest, and Cooking Demo.
The Cooking Demo contest is one of the most awaited activities of the residents and staff as it paved way for the children to showcase their talent in cooking various menu which are healthy and tasty. The dishes were also being shared and enjoyed by everyone.
To formally end the month-long activity, a culminating program was conducted at Marillac Hills Covered Court last July 26, 2019. The program started with an opening prayer led by selected grade 7 students followed by an opening message by Ms. Ma. Erlinda Bacud, the Chairman of the 2019 Nutrition Month celebration. A scrumptious boodle fight was prepared to serve everyone who participated in the activity. The nutrition month celebration enabled the residents of Marillac Hills to demonstrate their talents, abilities, and improve their interpersonal communication skills.
Marillac Hills is a rehabilitation center for young girls ages 7-12 years old who are victims of abuse. ###
