Also, sports will help you in training your muscles to work better. With this, the Nayon ng Kabataan is active in promoting public health advocacies for the welfare of its clients.
The joy and laughter of the children of Nayon ng Kabataan echoed in the facility while playing their favorite sports last February 13, 2023, as the Project Six Foundation conducted a sports clinic for the residents of Nayon ng Kabataan.
The event was held at the soccer and gymnasium fields of the center where participants were divided into three groups: football, tennis, and volleyball. Each sport has its coach and facilitator. Before the start of the game, the participants are briefed about the various steps involved in playing the sport. Professional coaches from Australia and the University of North Carolina Mr. Lewis Rayson, and Mr. Jarrad Parish as well as Mr. Daniel Burberis former resident of Quezon City residential care facility demonstrated the techniques and the proper way of playing the game.
Meanwhile, Residential Care Facility Head, Ms. Maridol R. Licerio encouraged the Project Six Foundation to have an official partnership with Nayon ng Kabataan to strengthen the relationship, cooperation, and communication between the center and the Project Six Foundation. This will also ensure the continuity and sustainability of the Sports Clinics in NK.
The sports clinic provided the residents with an opportunity to relieve their negative emotions. It also helped them develop their social skills and improve their teamwork. The event also serves as a venue to improve their physical and team-building abilities toward their co-residents.
