The Department of Social Welfare and Development National Capital Region awarded P 1,745,000.00 worth of capital assistance to 21 Self- Employment Assistance- Kaunlaran (SEA-K) associations from Manila City during its flag ceremony on February 3, 2014.

DSWD-NCR Ma. Alicia S. Bonoan said that the Sustainable Livelihood Program aims to improve the socio-economic capacity of the Pantawid beneficiaries through micro-enterprise development and employment facilitation program that shall provide a sustainable source of income for their family.

Mr. Dennis Chan, President of Solis SEA-K Business of Brgy. 215, expressed his gratitude for the livelihood assistance that they have received.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami sa tulong na patuloy ninyong ibinibigay upang maiangat ang antas ng aming pamumuhay. Sisikapin po naming mapalago at mapaunlad ang puhunang ito para sa kapakanan ng aming pamilya,” Chan said.

 

 

 

The 21 SEA-K associations include Jude 123, 39’ers, Sampaguita 129, Emerald Blue, Marielle 20, Masipag 80, LICO Business Association of Brgy. 211, Barangay 182 Sampaguita, Hardworkers of Brgy. 259, Solis SEA-K Business of Brgy. 215, Samahan ng Magkakapitbahay ng Brgy. 286, Sapphire, Geronimo, Fatima, Antipolo, SBD 650, Honest Moms 649, Genesis 649, Diamong Girls 649, Barangay 849 and Barangay 865.###
