Some 35,103 families in Navotas City were assessed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) during the second round assessment of the National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) or Listahanan as of June 12, 2015.
“We are glad that the community cooperated and responded positively. Thus, we will use these data to help uplift the lives of those identified to be poor through social protection programs and services,” DSWD-NCR Regional Director uttered.
Bonoan shared that the enumerators have also encountered challenges such as risky places and undue interference but were able to surpass it with the help of the local government units.
“We appreciate the support coming from the local social welfare and development office (LSWDO) and the barangay officials and personnel. Without them, we will not be able to conduct the enumeration smoothly. This shows that everyone has a significant part in this project,” Bonoan enthused.
Listahanan is an information management system that identifies who and where the poor are in the country.###
