The Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) conducted consultation dialogue with the court judges, social workers and other intermediaries on the Memorandum Circular No. 7 or the Amended Omnibus Guidelines on the Domestic Adoption Process held in Robbinsdale Hotel, Quezon City on January 21, 2016.

The said amended guidelines aim to fast-track the process of adoption, a socio-legal process of providing a permanent family to a child whose parents have voluntarily or involuntarily relinquished parental authority over the child. During the activity, participants were informed about the status of alternative parental care for children in NCR. Related issues and concerns on domestic adoption were also clarified to ensure proper implementation of the guidelines.

A total of 95 participants which include 15 court judges and representatives, 20 court social workers, eight (8) partner agencies, two (2) solicitor generals, one (1) prosecutor, 34 DSWD staff and 15 residents from Nayon ng Kabataan participated in the activity. ### (FO-NCR. Social Marketing Office)
