The Department of Social Welfare and Development- National Capital Region elicited the support of the Hotel Managers and Human Resource Officers in Metro Manila to provide employment to the Pantawid Pamilya partner beneficiaries with Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Certificate held last July 22, 2016 at Best Western Hotel La Corona Manila.
During the “Partnership Forum: Bridging Career Opportunities to Pantawid Pamilya,” the DSWD-NCR presented the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) and encouraged the partner stakeholders to take part of its goals in improving the quality of life of the poor, disadvantage and vulnerable. It also strengthened the implementation of existing convergence initiatives.
The partner companies and organizations expressed their commitment to help access the beneficiaries with TESDA Certificate in Housekeeping in their respective companies.
The SLP is a community-based capacity building program that seeks to improve the program participant’s socio-economic status. The program increases the economic opportunities of the families through the different modalities that it offers such as skills training, seed capital fund, pre-employment assistance fund and cash for building livelihood assets. ### (FO-NCR, Social Marketing Office
