Though no evacuees reported yet in Metro Manila today amidst continuous rain due to typhoon Butchoy, the Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) still readies some 18,260 family food packs and other non-food items for possible relief operations due to said weather condition.
Meanwhile, per coordination with the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), flooding incidents have already recorded as of 8:50am in the cities of Mandaluyong, Manila, Pasay, Makati, and Quezon City yet, still no evacuation of families was needed.
The Department also standbys other logistical needs for augmentation to local government units once they send request.
Moreover, the DSWD-NCR Friday disaster relief operation team has been activated to continuously monitor the weather updates and coordinate with other national government agencies and LGUs.
As of 1:00pm today, the Department has still not receiving any requests of augmentation from LGUs in Metro Manila as there is still no evacuation of families reported.###
