The Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR), together with the members of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee for Filipino Family (RIAC-FF), is conducting validation activities of nominees of the NCR’s Search for Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya 2016 which aims to recognize family beneficiaries of the program who maintain strong family ties, demonstrate positive Filipino values, and have positive impact in their respective communities.
DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vincent Andrew T. Leyson shared that these families serve as inspiration and proof to the public that the program helps in achieving positive changes in their lives.
Among the criteria for the Search are: a family with 100% compliance in all conditionalities – 25 %; a family that practices and promotes healthy living – 20%; a family that practices and promotes healthy living – 20%; a family who demonstrates love and respect for each other and for their community – 20%; and a family who manages and utilizes grants properly – 15%.
The validation is being conducted to interview the nominees, barangay officials, health center officers and school teacher/ principals to ensure that the winning nominee shall genuinely possess the characteristics of being a “Huwarang Pantawid Pamilya” of Metro Manila.
Winner will be awarded during the celebration of National Family Month this September. ###
