With his one page hand-written letter of gratitude to Department of Social Welfare and Development – National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) which was addressed to Regional Director Vincent Andrew T. Leyson, Mr. Antonio Flores from Surigao City expressed his gratefulness for the assistance he received from the Department.

Mr. Flores born on April 1946 sought the help of DSWD-NCR through the Crisis Intervention Unit (CIU) located at Gastambide, Sampaloc, Manila for the provision of transportation assistance on October 18, 2016.

Above is the letter of Mr. Flores sent via snail mail, which is full of thankfulness for the assistance he received from DSWD and Presidential Action Center.

On said day, Mr. Flores intended to return to Butuan City due to a vehicular accident happened to his daughter yet, he is financially incapable of doing it which resulted for him to request assistance from the Department.

Meanwhile, DSWD-NCR Regional Director Vincent Andrew T. Leyson said that this letter of gratitude serves a living proof that amidst heavy workload being carried by the Department in serving the people who are in-need, passionate and hardworking DSWD workforce still ensures a compassionate delivery of services. ###
